Spyware will sneak into your computer in the moment when you expect it the least. Spyware senders however tend to use the same, common ways to try to infiltrate your computer. Here are just some of the examples of how they do it and how you can protect yourself from such spyware:
Pay attention to suspicious emails. If you get an email that looks like spam do not click anywhere on any link that was sent to you.
Watch out for freeware and shareware. It is good to get something for free rather than have to buy it, but very often you might find yourself caught downloading a fishy file that is a spyware. Before you download anything that is for free, check on the internet if somebody spotted it as a spyware.
