How to Apply Thermal Paste
Applying thermal paste on a CPU while when you want to attach a heat sink to it is a must. If you for some reason decide to run your computer without this paste, you risk permanently damaging your CPU. There are some basic rules on how to apply a paste and usually they should be described on the package of the thermal paste that you bought. If no instruction is included, then try to do it on your own. Just gently apply the paste on the top of the processor remembering that the layer should be thin and not too thick. What is nice is the fact that actually many fans already come with a payer of thermal paste attached to it and you no longer have to worry about buying additional paste.
